Principal and Founder

Schuyler found her own personal/professional alignment when she started Skyelab in 2006. The company incorporates Schuyler’s experience across various marketing disciplines including trendspotting, strategic planning, and consumer research, with her personal passion for truth finding. Skyelab works with brands and consumers to find alignment, or common ground, thereby reducing the amount of wasted energy and resources spent missing each other.

Absolute Power move

Schuyler first gained respect for brands as a verbal branding consultant at Landor Associates in San Francisco. In this role she spent her days reading dictionaries, working with linguists and poets, and developing a keen sense for the explicit and implicit meaning of things. Schuyler developed names and taglines for some of the world’s biggest brands including Yum!, Accenture, and First Republic Bank.

But Schuyler’s career was built on her ability to spot trends and recognize emerging opportunities. She spent four years as managing director of trends and insights at advertising agency, Euro RSCG. While there she co-founded the agency’s buzz marketing practice, worked on the Brandweek book, Buzz: Harness the Power of Influence and Create Demand, and was part of the team responsible for sparking “Metrosexual Mania.” She helped design and execute the award-winning buzz campaign that featured hip-hop duo, OutKast, in the service of Polaroid. She also contributed a chapter on the future of viral marketing to the book, Connected Marketing: The Viral, Buzz, and Word-of-Mouth Revolution. Schuyler’s insights were integral in the agency’s new business operation where she helped bring in Charles Schwab (”Talk to Chuck”), ExxonMobil, and Jaguar (”Gorgeous”), among many others.

Schuyler lives with her husband in Brooklyn and is an avid yogi, writer, artist, nature-lover, and determined change maker.
